Warranty & Return Policy
BSC wants you to have any enjoyable shopping experience through either our On-Line Store or directly from our Sales Associates. We take much care in providing accurate and complete information regarding our products and services. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we have developed the following procedures to help expedite returns, warranty replacements or refunds.
BSC strives to bring you products that offer both excellent quality and exceptional value. We represent a variety of brand name manufacturers and stock many of these items. In addition to sourcing new product, we also purchase large over-stock quantities or secondary market equipment at discounted prices. We can then pass along these savings to our customers, often at a 50 – 90% reduction from the manufacturer’s list price. Because of this Purchasing Strategy, we are not able to guarantee the original manufacturer’s warranties on these particular products. However, we do include our own warranty period based upon the product status outlined in our “Warranty Policy” section. This applies to products purchased either direct or through our on-line store, unless that product is being offered “as-is”
Due to the volume and number of items we offer, our inventory listings are extremely fluid and availability changes frequently. Please call to verify item availability and/or condition if not currently listed. Most, but not all, of our product offerings have been tested for functionality.
Warranty
All products identified as “New” are direct from the manufacturer and include a 30-day exchange, replacement or refund warranty through BSC from the date of purchase. Most of the manufacturers we represent offer a 1-year limited warranty on their products. After the initial 30-day warranty provided by BSC, the buyer must process any warranty claims directly with the manufacturer.
All products identified as “Refurbished”, “Used”, “New-Open-Box”, or “New-Overstock” also come with a 30-day warranty through BSC from the date of purchase.
BSC will, at its option, repair, replace or refund the purchase price (including original shipping) of items found to be defective within the previously stated limitations.
The following conditions are not covered under our warranty:
- The buyer’s inability or lack of experience and knowledge to install, configure or use the equipment purchased.
- Any attempt to use the equipment for an application other than it’s original intended purpose or in any manner that violates Federal, State or Local government laws which regulate Industry Standards.
- Any attempt to modify or repair the equipment by any company or individual without prior authorization of BSC personnel.
- Equipment that has been abused, neglected, misused, or damaged in any manner. This includes damage that may result from inadequate power surge protection.
- Equipment that has missing or broken seals, equipment that has missing or mismatched serial numbers applied by BSC, or equipment that shows obvious signs of tampering.
- Equipment specifically stated and sold on an “As-Is” basis.
This warranty is applicable to the original registered Purchaser of the equipment from BSC and is non-transferable.
THIS WARRANTY IS THE ONLY WARRANTY APPLICABLE TO THE GOODS PURCHASED HEREUNDER AND IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ANY WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OTHERWISE IMPLIED BY LAW INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR MERCHANTABILITY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR LABOR, LOSS OF PRODUCT OR BUSINESS, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE.
Returns
An Authorized Representative of BSC must first approve all returns. All returns must be accompanied by a completed “Return Material Authorization” (RMA Form). This form must include a valid RMA number issued by an Authorized Representative of BSC. All returns must be sent by an Approved BSC freight method and returned by “Ground Service” ONLY.
All RMA’s are valid for a period of (10) business days from the date they are issued. If BSC does not receive the product in question within this timeframe, or receive a valid tracking number indicating that the product has shipped, then the RMA will be voided. Any packages received, which do not comply with these requirements, will be denied and returned to the shipper at their expense. Any credits, refunds or replacements may also be cancelled at this time.
Non-Defective Returns:
All Non-Defective returns will be charged a 25% restocking fee. In addition, the Purchaser will be responsible for both the original and the return shipping fees. All product must be returned in their original condition and packaging in order to receive a refund. Any special order or custom made items are not eligible for return unless deemed to be defective.
Defective Returns:
If any equipment purchased from BSC is found to be defective during the warranty period outlined in our “Warranty Policy” section, contact BSC personnel with the following information readily available:
- Original Sales Invoice or Customer Purchase Order number
- Specific problem with product and reason for return
If BSC personnel determine that it is necessary to return the product, an RMA number will be issued. The RMA number must be referenced on the shipping container and a copy of the completed RMA Form included with the package. Any defective items being exchanged for the same product must be sent in the original package with all the original accessories included.
Upon receipt of the product by BSC, the equipment will be tested for functionality. If the product is found to be in working order, the Purchaser may have the product returned to them at their expense or they may have their money refunded less the 25% restocking fee and applicable shipping & handling charges.
If the equipment is found to be defective and meets all the stipulations expressed under our “Warranty Policy”, BSC has the option to repair or replace the product or refund the original Purchase Amount plus the original and return shipping charges (Ground Service only). In NO CASE do we reimburse Express Service shipping charges.
Advanced Replacements:
Our replacement policy requires that we receive a “Defective” item for evaluation prior to sending out a replacement. In the event the Purchaser requires an immediate replacement, the Purchaser will be charged for the cost of the replacement until it is determined that the returned product meets the terms of this agreement. Once the returned product is received and verified to meet the stipulations as “Defective”, a credit will be issued to the Purchaser for the replacement.
Shipping Damage:
Received by Purchaser: Any product that is damaged or suspected of being damaged during transit must be either a.) reported to BSC personnel within 24 hours of receipt or b.) refused to be received from the carrier. BSC will file the claim with the carrier.
Received by BSC: BSC personnel will refuse any returned product that is damaged in shipping due to lack of proper packaging. If you have questions regarding proper packaging for returned product, please contact us directly for instructions. Returned product properly packaged and still damaged in shipping will be noted to the Carrier and a claim will be filed.
Failure to follow these requirements will void any and all warranties. |
